Can we Go A Little Faster?

"Can we go a little faster?"

I felt my world crashing down on me, as the Pedicab driver ushered me to the cab terminal that would take me to the port. As his pants rubbed against each other in sheer effort to make it faster, Celine's voice crying in the background seemed to grow louder. Finally, I let out a sob releasing that heavy feeling of leaving her under the care of his father. I can't believe I have taken that decision bravely, but I knew it was for good. He had drunken night episodes within our four-year relationship giving me second thoughts of leaving Celine under his care, but as a father I decided to give him chance to prove his being a good one.

As the cab driver drove far from my place, I can still hear Celine’s voice reverberating, asking me if she could go with me. My body shook, as I cried harder, her voice echoing at the back of my mind begging and pleading. I already lost a vision of her, as darkness crept in, but I can hear her, even at a distance. I wanted to tell the driver to turn back, but I just could not. I had already spent a lot of money on my ticket and had fully paid a pension house for a one-month stay, while I would be looking for a job in a far-away city.

I checked my mobile three hours after, to check on my husband's message. There was none. I checked again after another hour, but instead I saw my sister's message.

"He is drunk again."

My heart drummed faster, and it raced against my breath, as I imagined Celine. What could happen to her? She just turned four few days ago, and too young to be dealing with a drunk father. I was too shy to ask my sister to get Celine out of there. I know my husband would not easily give in.

I called up his mobile phone with hopes I could get him on the line and ask if she could take Celine into my sister’s house. I had high hopes that maybe he was not that drunk, but a "no answer" for five times was a sign that he was too drunk to take in a call. I tried calling my sister, but she was out of reach, charging her phone, which I learned later.
Tears were endlessly falling down my cheeks, helplessly looking at the city lights that were slowly fading. It was three hours from the moment we left the port. I was too certain, it would definitely take in a lot of courage if I had to swim back into the shore, blindly paddling with my own arms in that cold sea.

"I have to get Celine on the phone", I whispered to myself, and prayed a lot.

Another hour had passed and my anxiety had grown. I could not sleep, nor sit for a minute. My worries send me pacing back and forth in that cabin. I could hear the ship's engine and the sound of the waves, as it lashed through the ship's wall, but I still could not get Celine out of my mind.

I decided to walk through the corridor struggling to be calm again, and thank God, I saw a coffee vend. A few more sips had at least soothed me. I reached out for my mobile again, dialing my husband's number. It was so annoying to listen to that long string of dial tones, and as  I sat on a bench looking at the ocean, I dialed that number couple of times. This time I sensed somebody was trying to answer but could not find the right button. I had several attempts before I heard a soft hello.

“Hello!” Celine’s hesitant voice resounded from the other line. That was the first time she got hold of his father’s mobile phone, and I knew she was scared.

My heart beat faster. My mind was racing against my tongue. I had so much to tell her before five minutes was over.

"Baby, how are you?" I frantically asked her.

"Papa is asleep, his feet were all over my face, I couldn't sleep Ma”, she said in mellow but sad voice.

I was deeply taking my breath slowly, controlling my tears and tried not to sob, struggling to sound relax. I could not let her think I was scared of her situation, so I kept comforting her and told her everything was fine. But before I could say another thing, the line went out, I was pissed. There was nothing I could do. My calls were programmed to end every five minutes, and that would mean every five minutes Celine had to struggle finding the right button to talk to me again.

It was a struggle for me too. I had to dial endlessly muttering prayers every now and then, hoping I could talk to her once more. Finally, with several attempts, she had figured out which button to press. Thank God.
That night I finally told Celine to get out of the room and check out her aunt at the gate.
Later in the morning, I finally called my husband and talked to him about my sister's temporary custody, before I could manage to get Celine to be with me. Fortunately, with him accepting his weaknesses, he allowed Celine to live with her aunt.

The incident had me rushing things, scouting here and there to finally get a job. My pocket was slowly emptying, and my feet getting calloused by constant walking, checking one job board after another. I was off the Internet the whole time, so I was not able to apply online which could have been easier and more convenient for me. The hope of being reunited with Celine gave me an awesome will to carry on, despite the failure and rejection in an entirely new environment.

Three months later after a grueling struggle in a new city, I found a good job, and finally got reunited with my Celine, and even though the incident scarred my relationship with his father, I still strived to make things better for us, for I know Celine would never want a broken home.

Up to this date, we are still working on some things, but just like the old times; it would definitely for Celine and Celine alone.

The Gamification Concept and its Important Contribution to Social Media Sites

Gamification is a new terminology that came out vis-avis with social media. Along with the increased time people spend in social networking sites, developers have figured out using gamification concept to introduce idea, market a product, or increase social network sites interaction. Gamification in social networking is one of the contributing factors in increased Internet usage and increased user engagement. It also improves the level of user interaction. Anything that use game thinking in resolving non-game problems are considered gamification. Therefore, games do not necessarily fall on gamification category. It has to produce the gamification concept upon playing, before it can be considered one, as gamification applies a game design element into a non game task, and if a game does not promote that, then it has no gamification potential.

The world should thank one person named Nick Pelling, a British-born computer programmer and inventor of gamification who introduced computer games in 1980s, which later started the gamification concept used by some sites in the Internet, including social networking sites.

Social networking sites have established an outstanding platform for sharing, interacting and discussing to improve human relationships, but Gamification has added another way in engaging users into using the site longer.  When some social media users find social networking a bit boring, some games in the gaming section that enhances their learning process, seems to be the answer to their needs. The gamification concept that social networking sites like FB used among others, introduced, has increased competitiveness, and inspired its users to accomplish more tasks. Since gamification introduces more challenges that yield virtual reward, the more a social network site user is drawn to the site.

The addiction tendencies that gamification injects in some social networking sites are beneficial to online marketing. The more time spend on the Internet, the more chances of checking out paid advertisements and many more.

Looking back, games existed long before gamification become popular in 2010. Without gamification, online games are just mere platforms and dull software apps waiting to be clicked.  Active sending of invitations throughout the social site, inviting other users to a challenge is one basic form of gamification.

Here is a summary of the contributions of the gamification concept to social media:
·
  •     It retains more customers. Therefore, it is one of the best marketing strategies online. It even increases customers to a certain restaurant or a convenient store through check-ins and badges systems.

  • ·         It has become one of the best ways to engage the customers in a social networking site. Create more ways how users interact to one another in more than two ways.

  • ·         Improved usage of a particular software programs. For example, add on plug-ins allow users to learn the use of the program fast and easy.

  • ·         Gamification concepts incorporate ideas on how to inspire people to exercise more and therefore promote healthy well being.

  • ·         Gamifications are used as management tools used by some companies to increase productivity. RedCritter Tracker is one of the many examples of a productivity apps using gamification concept.

Living Your Dreams with the Nazi Zombies - Call of Duty Ops Black II

Translating mankind’s fascination of something zombie-related into a game is a clever marketing move. The game with the Nazi Zombies on, allows switching roles, where they could personally play either as many names as possible. “Nazi Zombies” is the first terminology used online referring to the group of undead but dead people, lurking the dark hallways. Nazi Zombies first appeared in the popular game Call of Duty: World at War, and later reappeared in one of the game’s sequel, Call of Duty: Black Ops II. In this version, the gamer struggles to outwit the deadly Nazi zombies, which in this game had dropped the word Nazi to become an international game character, simply known as Zombie.
In this game, up to four players can either survive alone or cooperate with a team, working together to survive imminent danger created by an increasing number of Nazi Zombies.  Crashing and killing zombies would mean earning points to gain ammunition, purchasing points, or unlock new areas and be able to use other special objects in each round. A player has to make important decisions in using the points, or spending money to buy special objects. This would come handy and less challenging to those who are exposed to Call of Duty the premier one.  To note, zombies are stronger and faster when a round gets higher.
Every round unleashes new challenge and new obstacles, getting more intensified as the round progressed. However, there is no end round to this game. Players can play all they want as long as they aren’t terminated yet. The game ends only when a player becomes incapacitated. However, occasionally, when a player sees that his persona online gets weaker, he can assume ammunition that a zombie drops incase of a zombie’s death. So far this game has a total of 45 characters anyone can alternately assume. Different roles are given so that one can take part of the game and go for the win. It does not matter whether the game is longer or shorter with the Nazi soldier. Playing the game would mean total fun for the gamer. At least, the game is making his fantasies to survive like his idol Rick Grimes in Walking Dead Season 1, 2, and 3.
Here are the things appealing in this game:
·         There are 45 Characters in total, waiting to be played.
·         No end round – The round ends only when a gamer can no longer move and is totally incapacitated. Anyone can kill and crash every zombie in the game who accesses a map. The game has 16 maps and his character or nationality depends on the location selected in the map and what kind of flag is shown in the map.
·         Training – Training ground for the next apocalypse in the game would mean preparing for something odd that may happen in real life.

·         The game trains men and women to have their own personal, tactical moves incase an apocalypse happens. Nazi Zombies Call of Duty is more realistic and is keen in determining if the learning process in the game can be transferrable.

The great Zombie Book Invasion: The Best Zombie Books

One of the most persistent genres in the movie industry today is about a fictional post apocalyptic world that brought the human civilization down; featuring brain-dead, flesh-eating, re-animated corpse called zombie. With an unknown origin, the Zombie apocalypse concept has conquered the entertainment world, pointing at George Romero, as the first one to introduce the concept in 1968 when he produced “Night of the Leaving Dead”. From then on the world has developed an insatiable demand for this type of stories, both in the boob tube and in print. People are fascinated by two things: the reanimation of human body into a mindless, flesh-infesting individual and the anticipation of a hero-like antagonist, leading human battle against zombies. The fantasy created by this apocalypse concept is quite futuristic at the same time anticipative. Since the idea is fictional, the mind has no limit in creating endless possibilities making hero after hero in the attempt to make the story appealing.

In print, zombie themed novels are popular. In fact, some of them are used for movies.  George Romero wrote good zombie novels. He is one of the most popular novel writers whose novels made it to the big screen. The movie adaptations are sometimes bigger than the book itself. Some of the novels adapted for the big screen and television have been the most successful novels such as Word War Z by Max Brooks, Walking Dead by Kirk man Robert, Warm Bodies by Isaac Marion, Undead by John Russo, S.D Perry with Resident Evil Book Series, Friday the 13th, and some zombie-horror flicks from the writings of Stephen King. There are more than a thousand books printed, other than those with the novel format. Fictional and non-fictional books are appealing as long as these books tackle man’s fight for survival in the post-apocalypse era.

Why do people read Zombie books?

There are people who read nothing but Zombie books. Their interest in the zombie apocalypse is on a deeper level than anyone else. These people are the real bookworms scouting every public library as well as bookstores in their area in search for a new theme for Zombie apocalypse. For them, a few pages of a zombie book are not enough.
It is hard to identify the reasons behind their preference in this horror theme, but in an attempt to uncover their personality, I have conducted a short interview with one of them to identify at least a reason or two, and here it is:

·         Zombie-themed books arouse curiosity. It is when the reader wants to find out whether there is truth in this post apocalypse zombie era.

·         Zombie books are highly imaginative, creating endless possibilities. The reader, according to her, is drawn by the ardent desire of the protagonist to fight for survival.
·         It is fun. Having to travel along with the protagonist emotion makes it compelling to read.

·         The anticipation as to what would happen to the protagonist at the end of each story creates a different kind of thrill. There is a combination of anticipation, fear and hope to survive.

World War Z: The Controversies

World War Z is an adaptation of Max Brook’s novel of the same title. Brad Pitt’s head to head struggle with Leonardo DiCaprio’s production to win the rights in translating this into a movie had paid off. World War Z was a box-office hit in June 2013, with a chance of weaving a sequel. Brad Pitt, who played the lead character, was a retired UN employee chosen to travel around the globe to investigate a worldwide Zombie pandemic.  In his journey to find the possible vaccine for a rabid-like virus plaguing the whole world, he has battled with the undead with hopes in going back to his family safe and successful. His journey has brought him to a military base in South Korea, a safe zone in Jerusalem, and a WHO research facility in Cardiff, Wales to find the cure.

Just like the novel, World War Z – the movie presented the same gory tales about human versus zombie struggle, sometimes presenting Pitt as a sympathetic family man and sometimes a warrior hero. This led into series of polishing, reshoots, and finishes. Finally, a copy with a soft ending was released, and amazingly, it did not fail to entertain the viewers across the globe. With a successful opening of World War Z, a sequel has already been considered at this point, a very unlikely development, considering the many set backs World War Z had encountered in filming the movie. World War Z followed a relatively different path with that of the book, considering the many rewrites and an attempt to deviate from the book’s style of presentation. Several fans of the book were very unhappy with the deviations in the movie, as the production thoroughly diverged from World War Z- the novel.

Despite the existence of a solid script writing team, World War Z the movie find it difficult to follow World War Z - the book’s plot, but it had managed to pull up a good script and stuck to the book’s political emphasis. Written as a UN Documentary report regarding a Zombie pandemic, it was much of a struggle to write a relatively good script that can be defined as an excellent masterpiece, continuing the legacy that the book has established, years before the World War Z – the movie was materialized.

The film’s international scope simulated the international legacy of the book. Max Brooks, author of Word War Z had completely relied in Brad Pitt’s capacity to give justice to the book, given an extravagant investment. He claimed to have zero control over the film, except for some consultation regarding casting of some characters including Pitt, and the choice of a good screenwriter.

Critics, who had given 62 out of 100 rating, reviewed the movie as a good movie adaptation. World War Z was such a difficult movie, and it was very unlikely that someone could come up with a movie with high “best picture” potential. Overall, Brad Pitt, with the help of some popular players in the movie industry finally commenced the production with a big bang. However, the movie has had several inconsistencies in the characters but these inconsistencies were not enough to cause a draw back.

Warm Bodies: The Movie– A New Approach to Zombie-ism

When this movie was released first on January 31, 2013 in the Philippines, Russia, and Greece, people thought it is the start of something new about Zombie topics in the movie industry. The movie created a different set of perspective in the never-ending human versus zombie post apocalyptic battles, injecting a typical young love amid chaos love affair. The plot almost came unbelievably loaded with fresh concepts about the mythology of Zombie-ism. Gone are the days when viewers would always view Zombies as plain brain-dead antagonists feasting on human flesh without any sign of human emotion and consideration.  Warm Bodies introduced a new dimension to Zombie-ism stories, “the Bonies”.

The Bonies, in this movie, were the usual ferocious dead people walking, while R, the main cast of the movie took on a fresher concept playing protagonist, positively holding on with that small light of human emotion left inside him to be human once again. It is cute to watch the plot being presented in a not-so clever storyline with minor attempts that sound ambitious. But because the world of zombie-ism as a sheer mythology allows us endless possibilities, it has left more space in our hearts to believe in this new perspective. Warm Bodies has entirely offered a different twist to the zombie movie genre.

As we see humanized zombies fighting hand in hand with human to erase the lurking dangers created by a group of fully dead walking people, we too find it fully entertaining, as the plots developed from one scene to another. It was charming to watch that behind festering wounds of zombies lay a heart that is entirely capable to love again. Love conquers all; that even in the most dangerous and chaotic situations, people still desire to love again. It was almost funny, yet acceptable to find a potential Romeo and Juliet concept in a zombie genre, but because nothing limits our imagination, the movie turned out to be more compelling, as the two main characters slowly build a relationship with the hope that a better world, nobody else believes in, is totally possible, if given the chance.
This movie wasn’t perfect at all, but even in its flaw, human emotions prevail, coming up with one of the most heartwarming, almost funny, and a highly unusual zombie movie of all time.

Warm Bodies, upon its release in the United States on February 1, 2013 gained mixed reviews from critics all over the world. For the fresh perspective in zombie theme, Warm Bodies holds 80% certified fresh rating based on 174 reviews. The movie garnered a whooping $66.4 million in the US and another $50.5 million worldwide.

In its total viewing rating, Warm Movie was given PG 13 with few zombie violence and language, but overall, the movie featured nothing too offensive or gory. It was clean and the seemingly violent scenes were presented too quickly.

Finally, Warm Bodies has one of the best endings, as the two main casts watched the destruction of city walls, which signals the end of the zombie-filled world, and a new beginning where human and zombies interacts peacefully.

Walking Dead Season 2: A Debacle? Or Another Hit Success

Generally, a score of 80 from a total of 100 is too high for a movie review, but for some people’s point of view, Walking Dead Season 2 was a debacle. These were personal views drawn from too much expectation. A debacle for a description may or may not be actually real. The sudden rout of the series from its magical first season was pretty much understandable. Great things were expected from Walking Dead Season 2 which started airing in Oct 2011, a year after Walking Dead Season 1 premiered. More exhilarating plots were anticipated, and an elevated plot was assumed. Although, the production team had maintained the same high levels of craftsmanship shown in Walking Dead Season I, people were not just satisfied with the same fighting routines, the same presentation of the conflicts, and the seemingly dragging human-zombie confrontation. The plot was relatively slow at the first part of the season. Walking Dead Season 2 has introduced easy-resolved conflicts in its 13 episodes that diminished the presentation of each character quickly.

Debacle may be too much of a word to describe the feat of Walking Dead Season 2. The season’s production team has coped with more intensified pressure, meeting the demands of an increased 9 million fans who watched the final episode of the season. However, in a technical view point, Walking Dead Season 2 offered the same magic as Walking Dead Season 1; although it was not just enough to level the high expectation of its viewers across the globe. A debacle means total failure, which could not pass as a widely accepted description of Walking Dead Season 2 at all.

In Walking Dead Season 2, Rick Grimes has successfully escaped out of the DDC which exploded as part of the building’s safety protocol. With the inaudible whisper from the last surviving Doctor, Dr Jenner, Grimes was on a new challenge towards uncovering the mystery of this post-apocalyptic world filled with dead people walking. The scenes in the series presented the dilemma of the characters between considering Zombies as human beings or continuously kill the walkers without mercy, to defeat the walker’s growing force and dominance in this world. The scenes maintained the human side of the characters presenting sex, in the midst of a chaotic environment with imminent danger created by the Zombie existence. Fear, anger, jealousy, selfishness, and concern for fellow survivors were presented in a more credible way. The addition of five more writers to the production team to its original writers may have created a change in the production, but over-all, the second season was as successful as the first.

Technically, I have maintained high praises for the Walking Dead Season 2 production, but my friends have different outlook than mine. These are technicalities that people may have different perception to. You on the other hand can maintain an open mind, considering the realities of human existence in a hypothetically zombie world and your own personal touch to the story if you were the show’s main runner. Today, Walking Dead Series maintains its reputation to be the most viewed TV show on cable with viewership getting higher every season.

Walking Dead Season 3 – The Chart Topper

Two years after the first season premiered in October, 2010, AMC Cable TV renewed for the third time the most viewed series of all time, The Walking Dead. The Walking Dead Season 3 let out another astounding season aired in October of 2012 and was released in two batches of episodes. Releasing all episodes in two batches was a promotional strategy used in the second season. The Walking Dead 3 however, surpassed all two season’s record being the chart topper with a 10.6 – 12 million viewership.  This record erases its own previous record of 6 million in the Walking Dead Season 1 and 9 million in Walking Dead Season 2.

Walking Dead Season 3 ended Rick Grimes’ non-stop winter on-the-run scenes by finding “the prison” in spring. At the prison, Grimes met the Governor and a lady named Michonne whose characters added twists to the whole story; introducing greed and the selfishness of man amidst a world in conflict.  Walking Dead Season 3 also introduced changes in Grimes’ character being the number one protagonists, following the death of her wife, Lori. With all 16 episodes, Walking Dead Season 3 was indeed a more intense and exhilarating drama-filled series of all three Walking Dead seasons.

The success of Walking Dead Season 3 could be one or more factors contributing to the holistic approach of the Walking Dead theme. Maintaining the same visual presentation used in Seasons 1 and 2, upgrading presentation of the conflict from one episode to another is the third season’s edge over the first two seasons. Aside from those things that are quite obvious, the third season was even more popular because…

  • ·         The anticipation had built up before the season began as rumors about another antagonist, aside from the unconscious walkers, would be introduced. David Morrissey joined the stellar cast in the season. Morrissey, an English actor and director had shown much of what he can do in Walking Dead by his film appearance in Basic Instinct 2. He was the main antagonist in Walking Dead Season 3. The prison story line will extend until the Walking Dead Season 4.

  • ·         The production of the show was not limited at all in shooting the scenes in its principal set at Raleigh-Riverwood studio in the little town of Senoia, but has opened up to the whole town, making the place appear dirtier than its normal look to fit the show’s demand for its human deserted and conflict-loaded scenes. Setting a temporary parameter wall for the whole shooting period, Walking Dead Season 3 opted for Senoia as the main location for its outdoor takes, since this town was once an effective shooting location for the popular horror movie Pet Sematary 2. The main streets used for the scenes were closed to traffic, day and night. Season 3 production teams revealed that Walking Dead Season 3 shooting styles was entirely different in style with Walking Dead Seasons 1 and 2.

  • ·         The promotion of Walking Dead Season 3 was as extravagant as the first two seasons, however, for this season, AMC’s international broadcasters partner Fox International follows the 16 episode and release the episodes in the same structure with a similar schedule worldwide. Therefore, Walking Dead Season 3 has more reach than the first two seasons.

Walking Dead Season I – A Closer Look

The world should be glad of the reformat that AMC-“America Movie Classics” Cable channel had introduced in 2002. The changes in programming paved the way to producing theatrically released movies, other than just the classic features. The Walking Dead Season I that the channel started airing in October 2010 become one of the first zombie series that rock the nation, and has become a world phenomenon, airing in more than 120 countries worldwide. The Walking Dead Season I was an ultimate success. The triumphant feat was indeed unexpected. The whole production team working on this zombie-themed TV series was shocked by the reception the world has given to the series premier was so amazing, landing them into one of the nation’s most read news magazine “Entertainment Weekly”.

Walking Dead Season I centered on zombie-versus-human battle in a post- apocalyptic world filled with dead people called “walkers”. It is the same theme that Georgie A. Romero first introduced in 1968, the film entitled “Night of the Living Dead”. With the main protagonist, Rick Grime portrayed by Andrew Lincoln joined by a whole stellar casts, Walking Dead Season I features a seemingly endless human struggle to survive against the dead walkers to finally save the world from falling into a useless zombie-dominated dimension.

This TV show was lauded with positive reviews and finally awards and nominations. An overwhelming record of 5.35 million people watched the premiere episode, and about six million fanatic viewers – ages 18 to 49 around the world were glued on their seats watching the season’s succeeding series. It is no joke to gain the reputation of being the most viewed basic cable drama in all of cable’s history, and of all time.

In a quick rundown, Walking Dead Season I became a hit for the following reasons:

  • ·         Although the theme is nothing new to the viewers, the plot was beautifully presented. The scenes were intentionally slowed down, digging deeper into the nature of each character. The story drives into an exhilarating plot reached through a thorough and beautiful presentation of events, establishing a good understanding why each event has to happen in relation to each of the characters.

  • ·         Visual presentation is equally stunning and daring with that of the script, adding more heightened reaction to the movie scenes. There was also an artistic presentation of silence becoming the most effective appeal to the fearful emotion and forms much anticipation for the next scenes.

  • ·         It has a marvelous presentation, undeniably attractive, and disreputable drawing power. It could be the plot of the story, the acting prowess, the characters, and the location; or it could be a combination of all these factors, making up the whole Walking Dead Season I a success.

  • ·         The expansive campaign, as AMC organized a worldwide Zombie invasion event heightened the anticipation for the TV show, a part of which as leaked online serving as a media teaser to the potential viewers. As a result, with the season’s continuous airing, it garnered even more viewership bigger than when it started.

  • ·         Finally, it is shown in a high definition simulcast feed of AMC through top cable channels in the United States and a series of simulcasts and replays to the cable channels around the globe.

Product review: Braun Xpressive Epilator SE7- 7681

It was funny that products like these are originally created for men. All the features of the first ever epilators in 1986 released in Israel by the company, Mepro, had taken into consideration all of Israeli men’s hairy nature and root cellular property of the skin hair.

Today, almost 30 years later, Epilators are for general use. The women market is the new potential target of this product. With a more meticulous requirement for epilators, the grooming industry is in a heightened competition to determine who will be on the lead.
Epilators remove hair by grasping and pulling multiple hairs simultaneously. The first use is often the most painful. Some people who use epilators in the past have very bad experience with the product. That led to the decline of sales for the initially produced epilators in the past.

Today, however, is a different story. With the extensive research of Braun AG and the Gillete’s legacy in blade and tweezers industry, Braun AG had been successful in introducing new versions of epilators to the market. Even after Gillete’s absorption under a different company Proctre and Gamble, Braun AG, now known as merely Braun, was still able to maintain their excellence in shaving and grooming technology, as part of P & G’s small appliance segment.

With Braun’s reputation, it is easy to assume that Braun Xpressive Epilator SE7- 7681 is such a great invention. However, let us not trust assumption, so let me introduce to you my personal assessment of Braun Xpressive Epilator SE7- 7681 and let me be detailed about it in the next section.

Product Review: Braun Xpressive Epilator SE7- 7681

  • ·         New close-grip technology

This feature removes all skin hair and leaves a clean look within the trimmed area. Even hairs as small as the grain of sand can be removed, no exception as the tweezers of Braun Xpressive Epilator SE7- 7681 stay in close contact with the skin, about 0.5mm close.
In a continuous cycle of shaving process, the new close-grip technology of Braun Xpressive Epilator SE7- 7681 change the pressure of gripping, pulling, extracting and discarding the hair, slowly becoming gently yet thorough, as the epilator moved across the skin.
  • ·         Pivoting Head

This is such a fantastic feature of great flexibility and adaptability, as the pivoting head adapts to the contours of the body area where hairs are usually hard to remove. Buying Guide: Choosing the Right Car Navigation Device

There are no precise records on who must have produced the first commercial navigation for automobiles. There were claims in the past, but these claims remain to be a subject for dispute even until these days. The only claim which has also been duly proven is that the United States has made available a navigation signal for civilian use in the years 2000. Although in the automobile industry, it was Mitsubishi Electric and Pioneer who has made the claim as the first to use a GPS based navigation systems in cars, and the year was 1990.

The long history of car navigation is a continuous story. There will always be something new that comes out. The world may owe everything to who may have started this invention, but more important than that is its contribution to the current civilization. Navigation has marked a different kind of achievement in the history of man, and it has already been written.  Unfolding year after year, this will be the bases of our acceptance, that indeed, it is in demand. Why is it in demand? Let me answer that later as we go along. Let me enumerate first its capability in general.

·         A car navigation can display maps to show the right direction. Using the same map, it can also show the vehicle’s location. Other navigation system uses sensors for this kind of function.

·         It can relay the gathered location information using a text or speech medium.
·         Lately, it has helped improved traffic conditions and automatically gives a different route option.

Among the major capabilities of a navigation system, two are the most useful when translated into a car navigation system. Car navigation system with a satellite-based navigation is especially designed for automobiles. If you have that in your car, you can search a user on a road using the map-locator system. On the other hand, having that device will also allow others to trace your location. The most convenient version for this, are the hand-held, the one that can be taken out of the car.  Mobility feature can be considered one of the most sough-after features. Again, the question is…why do people need a car navigation system? Let me tackle a few of these reasons.

·         People need car navigation devices to avoid traffic and therefore save time. Knowing the traffic condition in a certain street will give the user all the chance in this world to change into a different direction possible.

·         People need car navigation to feel secure. Getting lost is not a total worry nowadays because of a certain type of car navigation system available online. A search operation is not totally clueless as it makes searching and finding easier.

·         People need car navigation devices to locate a certain destination. This replaces the role of a manual map. Tracing and locating then becomes easy and fast. A lot of workers (mailman, delivery boy, salespersons etc.) that use car navigation benefited from this invention.

·         Early navigators like Magellan and Columbus uses navigation devices like compass to discover more lands and later conquer these lands.

On that note, choosing a car navigation system should not be taken for granted. There should be key points that will serve as a buying guide to car owners.

  • Buying guide #1 – Look for a car navigation system with an easy to use interface.
  • Buying guide#2 – Since you are driving, easy control is required. Touch screen control is best, as well as voice guidance in multi-languages.
  • Buying guide #3- Make sure to check for compact and durability in your chosen car navigation system. It should function no matter what the weather is, be it heavy to moderately wintery conditions.
  • Buying guide #4 – Choose the one with a 2 to 3-dimentional display and the one that has an automatic zoom function.
  • Buying guide #5 – Since anything can happen night and day, it is best to have day/night color mode function, so that locating and feeding direction would not stop during night time.
  • Buying guide#6 – Specify that the car navigation device that you need has a multi-destination search feature. It can accommodate narrowing of searches by entering relevant keywords.
  • Buying guide #7 – A car navigation device with a sensitive receiver is ultimately reliable and lessens worries when travelling. It gives a certain kind of security that no matter what happens you can always send a help signal.
  • Buying guide #8 – A car navigation device that can be held while walking away from the car possessing the best mobility feature is sought-after. It allows more freedom in movement.

The Best Subwoofer for your Car Audio System

Sensational sounds – that is what car audio technology is all about. Every company producing audio electronics drives towards producing the best bass – low audio frequency that relaxes the brains and soothes the senses. Sound technology revolves around people’s need to relax using music in the comfort of our homes, in the office, and even as we leave our office and heads home.

One of the many factors why car audio electronics become popular is the longer commuting time that traffic jam has created in our lives. Imagine your car with no audio system. Imagine how stressful, dull, and boring it would be when all your hear are loud noise in the streets, scratchy sound of bumper to bumper horn blowing, and the whining sound of pedestrians rushing to and fro. Music was from a distant past, but audio electronics technology came out not so long ago. It first came out in 1960 as an answer to the growing demand for amazing home stereo systems.

Along with the flourish of the music industry, the need for woofer and subwoofers sprouted from everywhere. Home stereo system has extended into some people’s car, until it became a trend, then a lifestyle. These days, it seems that a car’s one requirement is a good audio system. This phenomenon had even intensified when recording companies added low frequency to their music production. Car subwoofer technology came and it never went away as the requirement for good music remains the same.

With this development, it is entirely inevitable for subwoofer manufacturers not to compete with each other. Each and every subwoofer in the market today has either two or more competitive features. But what is exactly our requirement for a good car sub-woofer?

Consider the following items as your buying guide. The items come in no particular order of importance.
  • Buying Guide #1 – Be keen with size

Keep in mind that subwoofers need to match the amount of space available in your vehicle. The bigger the subwoofer is, then the bigger space it would eat up, which can affect the vehicle’s comfortable feature. Get the one that is especially designed for the car’s interior and keep your car’s original space availability.
  • Buying Guide #2 – Take note of your music preference

Specifications for subwoofer must match the preferred style of music. When you are into low-frequency sound most of the time, then match that requirement by asking a subwoofer expert. Remember that the specific requirement for subwoofer frequency should match the user’s ear audio reception frequency. Otherwise, the system would mean more bad than good to your health.
  • Buying Guide #3 – Take note of the Sound Distortion

Who would even dream of having distorted sounds all the time? It defeats the purpose of installing this audio system in your car. It should soothe your senses not distracts your attention from driving. Upgrading car subwoofers with distorted sound is as imperative as taking the whole audio system in the car, if you think about maintaining good hearing.
  • Buying Guide#4 – Bass quality

Go for the one that has deeper bass and features less turbulence, for the same reason why you avoid distortions in the audio.
  • Buying Guide#5 – Powerful output

This output must also depend on the size of your car and the car’s insulation. The car’s ability to absorb sound waves affects your choice for a subwoofer with a powerful output. However, reject the ones that produce almost earthquake-like effects. Instead of relaxing, it can alter your body’s regular rhythm.
  • Buying guide# 6 – Check for the RMS

RMS is the power handling rating. This refers to the amount of power a sub can handle if you continue playing music non-stop and at a certain volume level. In order to maintain good sounds, the recommended car subwoofer power should match 75% to 90% of its recommended RMS rating.
  • Buying Guide #7 – Easily maintained design

Maintaining the quality of you audio system depends on how well you take care of the connections. Installing a low maintenance type of subwoofer ensures a long and lasting repertoire, everyday of your life.
  • Buying Guide#8 – Warranty

Most car subwoofers come with no warranty, but when you are looking for a good pick, scout the whole Internet for the ones that have. Check for the chance to be able to consult an expert for a period of time and the chance to replace its parts.

It’s a guarantee, if you consider all these buying guides, you will never go wrong. For more choices of car subwoofers, come to the right place.
